Ways that College Smart Girls can get active!

Smart Girl Politics Action is an online conservative women's organization which strives to engage, educate, and empower women to take a more active role in the political world.  An internship with SGP will present students with opportunities to work and interact with women from a variety of backgrounds across the country. Our interns will gain experience in advocacy, community relations, marketing, new media and many other aspects of a nonprofit organization.  Working with Smart Girl Politics Action will give students an insider’s view into the worlds of politics and non-profit management, and experience to add to their resume before they begin a job search. SGP Action internships are available year-round, and we will work with students  to receive course credit for their internship.

Intern Responsibilities

Students must be self-starters with good communication skills.  Interns must be have time management skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative. The majority of our program is internet based which allows us the opportunity to work with students from around the country.  Interns are required to work an average of 20 hours per week.  The actual hours worked are somewhat flexible in nature.

Interns are responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of our organization. Responsibilities will be divided between daily administrative support and larger projects such as: event planning, fundraising, legislative and political research, drafting articles for our website, and other projects.

Applications for internships are accepted on a rolling basis.
